Service

EasyOwn is a property listing platform built for the Nigerian market. We connect property owners, landlords, and agents ("Listers") directly with people looking for a place to rent, buy, or shortlet ("Seekers"). We do not act as an agent, broker, or middleman in any transaction. Any agreement reached between a Lister and a Seeker is entirely between those two parties.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing on EasyOwn. By using the platform, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and up-to-date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information.

Every listing must represent a real, available property that you own, manage, or have legal authority to list. You may not list a property you do not control, duplicate an existing listing, or post misleading information about price, location, or condition. Listings are subject to a 30-day confirmation cycle — you will receive an email prompting you to confirm availability. Listings not confirmed within the cycle are automatically archived. You can restore them from your dashboard at any time.

The free tier allows up to 2 active listings per account at any time. This limit exists to maintain listing quality and discourage spam. Listings marked as "Taken" or "Archived" do not count toward your active limit. We may introduce paid tiers with higher limits in the future — any such changes will be communicated clearly in advance.

EasyOwn routes enquiries directly to the Lister's WhatsApp number. By adding your WhatsApp number to your profile, you consent to receiving enquiry messages from platform users. You are solely responsible for interactions that occur outside EasyOwn. We are not party to, and accept no liability for, any conversation, agreement, payment, or dispute that takes place via WhatsApp or any other channel.

You may not use EasyOwn to post fraudulent, misleading, or illegal listings; to impersonate another person or entity; to scrape, index, or harvest user data; to send spam or unsolicited messages to other users; or to use the platform in any way that violates applicable Nigerian law. Violations may result in immediate account suspension without notice.

You retain ownership of any photos or text you upload. By posting content on EasyOwn, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform and in marketing materials for the platform. You confirm that you have the right to upload any content you post and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

EasyOwn is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not verify the accuracy of listing information beyond our stated verification process. We do not guarantee the availability of any property, the identity of any Lister, or the outcome of any transaction. Use the platform at your own judgement and always conduct your own due diligence before making any property decision.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyOwn and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform — including loss of money, property, or opportunity resulting from reliance on a listing. Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of EasyOwn after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you via email.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of EasyOwn shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
